COVID-19 Donations

Dear Friends,

We are all passing through unprecedented times! Every day, we are seeing TV images of thousands of fellow San Diegans lining up to receive food donations at various distribution centers. The San Diego Food Bank and its North County chapter need your help feeding our neighbors in need during the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the crisis started, the Food Bank was feeding 350,000 people every month. But now, the demand has increased exponentially.  Since the start of the crisis, the Food Bank has distributed more than 1.3 million pounds of food to families and seniors in need through 200 distribution centers and a network of 500 nonprofit partners. With families losing paychecks and jobs and schools being closed down, more people are experiencing hunger.

Ray L Patel is a member of the Advisory Board of FIASD and he is serving on the Board of Directors of the SD Food Bank. He is actively engaged in a Virtual Food Drive for the Food Bank. We strongly recommend supporting this noble cause.

Please click the following link to make your contribution: https://www.fooddriveonline.org/sandiegofoodbank/RayPatel  Select the food items you wish to donate or enter the amount on the gift card, drag it to the scanner, click checkout, enter FIASD below Ray Patel in the Virtual Food Drive box and pay securely online with your credit card.

Ray and Manju Patel will match your donation dollar for dollar. This is a great opportunity for you to double the impact of your donation. Please donate generously to help families facing hunger – and let them know they’re not alone. No donation is too small. San Diego Food Bank is a 501-C organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

FIASD has donated $1,000 and several board and team members have donated generously for this cause. Let’s help together. Thank you in advance for your kind support.
